Play and Stillness
Theme: Play and Stillness
Method: Image (Where’s Lap Lap?)
Context:
Where’s Wally?

The idea of Where’s Wally is to suggest a character or the objective to act as a focal point to draw people to look into the picture more closely. Illustrated by Britsh artist Martin Handford, with the concept, he came up with the distinctive character – Wally (also known as Waldo in US and Canada). A character with round glasses and a beanie, as a stereotype which Handford described as a “train spotter”, a phrase in English used to describe someone who is a dull or silly.
Response:
Putting myself into a crowded image of people. Another way of making an image playful by making the audience to search for an objective.
Reflection:
Normally if anyone sees the image with crowded people, they may not pay attention to the little bits and pieces. By stating that Lap is within the image and try to look for him, audience will start engaging and look through the whole image to find the objective.
